Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 entire small Brie
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 220 g (1 cup) Breadcrumbs
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Prepare 2 plates.

Break the egg in the first on. Add milk, salt and pepper. Beat them all in omelette. Pour the crumbs into the second plate.

Soak the whole brie in the beaten egg, then roll in the breadcrumbs.

Repeat this process to get a thick crust for the cooking, otherwise the crust may crack and cheese could escape.

Reserve about 1/2 hour in the refrigerator to harden the breading.

Pour olive oil in a pan and fry the cheese on the first side. Return and do the same for the other side.

Lower the flame and allow 3 to 4 minutes on each side, taking care to put a lid on the top of your pan so that the interior of the cheese is hot and flowing.

Serve immediately with a green salad and if you have a big appetite, you can add some jack potatoes.
