The Winter Gratin with Rosemary Honey is a delicate and subtle association that will please every palate.  If you like a richer taste trade the milk by some whipping cream !

  • 1 pink grapefruit
  • 1 yellow grapefruit
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 cup (250 ml) milk
  • 3 Tsp.(100 g) rosmarin Honey
  • 3 egg yolk
  • 1 Tsp.(20 g) corn starch
  •  1 Tsp.( 20g) brown sugar
  •  6 small branches of rosemary

Now here are the few steps you will need to follow to make this Winter Gratin with Rosemary Honey with a 15 minutes preparation time and about 5 minutes grill time

Heat the milk in a pan. Beat the egg yolks with the honey, then add the corn starch and a small amount of your hot milk to liquefy the batter and pour in a pan. Let thicken on low heat, then take the pan of the heat and set aside.

Peal the citrus fruits and separate them in quarters.

During the preparation, take the juice and add it to the pan with the creamy sauce.

Dispose the fruit pieces in a gratin dish or in small shallow dishes like on the picture and turn on the grill of your oven.

Pour your honey sauce on top of the fruits, add the sugar and place the dish in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes and serve hot with some short breads if you like.
