Homemade yogurt are made from fermented milk. The lactic ferments are added to pasteurised milk, heated and cooled. Finely, Add some spices, like cinnamon, to these homemade Yogurts and you will simply love it !

First, here is the short list of the different ingredients you will need to make the Homemade Yogurt for 6

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 8-oz yogurt
  • 1 yogurt maker

Now, here are the few steps you will need to follow to make the Homemade Yogurt

First, Mix milk with yogurt. Use ingredients at room temperature. Then, whip the yogurt separately. Add a little milk and whip again until you obtain a homogeneous and smooth texture. Add the rest of the milk while continuing the whipping.

Pour the mixture into the glass jars. Put the jars without their covers into the yogurt maker. Place the cover on the yogurt maker. Plug the appliance into a main socket. Expect 8 to 10 hours for the preparation of yogurt with whole milk and 10 to 12 hours for yogurt with semi-skimmed milk.

Never put your yogurt maker on a vibrating surface such as the top of a refrigerator !

When the cycle is over, unplug the appliance, let the yogurt maker cool and then remove the glass jars.

Screw the lids onto the glass jars and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy !
