Here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to prepare the Wasabi Mackerel Mousse
- 3 smoked mackerel fillets
- 1 small cup (200 ml) whipping cream
- 2 small shallots
- 1 Tbsp Wasabi
- 2 Tbsp (20 g) sesame seeds
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Here are now the few steps you will need to follow to make the Wasabi Mackerel Mousse
Start by peeling and chopping the shallots and set aside. Whip the cream with salt and freshly grounded pepper.
Then crumble the mackerel fillets in a large bowl and mix them with the wasabi and chopped shallots and then gently add the whipped cream.
Place this mousse in a nice hollow dish, smooth the surface and sprinkle with sesame seeds, then cool for at least 2 hours.
When serving your aperitif, present your Wasabi Mackerel Mousse with warm toasts and the wine of your choice and bon Appétit 🙂
