This “Tiramisu” isn’t really a tiramisu because it’s egg-free, but it’s a very pleasant way to end a summer meal because it’s much lighter and also very easy to make. So go ahead and treat your friends and family.
First, here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to prepare this Lemon and Mint Tiramisu that serves 4 people
- 1 Lemon
- 8 mint leaves
- 75g or 3 Tbsp caster sugar
- 250g or 8 oz mascarpone
- 25g or 8 oz crème fraîche
- 24 sponge fingers
- 50 ml or a small 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
- 50 ml or a small 1/4 cup water
Now, here are the few steps you’ll need to follow to make this delicious Lemon and Mint Tiramisu: it takes about 20 minutes to prepare and 2 hours to chill.
Zest the lemon and blanch it for 3 minutes in boiling water. Wash, dry, and chop the mint.
Mix the mascarpone, crème fraîche, and caster sugar. Add the lemon zest and mint.
Quickly soak the biscuits in the Grand Marnier/water mixture and line the bottom of the glasses with the biscuits.
Cover with cream, add a layer of biscuits, a layer of cream, and continue in this manner, finishing with a layer of cream.
