Oranges Russian Way

These Oranges Russian Way can also be prepared with blood Oranges. Slices of fresh oranges are made more sharp with Vodka but still smooth accompanied with this Egg Cream. it is also a perfect dessert for a late dinner, light and fresh.

First, here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to make the Oranges Russian Way that serves 4

  • 4 oranges
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp (60 g) caster sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp Vodka

Now, here are the few steps you will need to follow to make the Oranges Russian Way with about 20 minutes preparation

Peel the oranges on edge, so as to also remove the inner white skin. Cut into thin slices, place in 4 dessert shells or plates and sprinkle with brown sugar and Vodka.

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until it becomes a foaming cream, then add the cream, whipped gently. You then will store it for two hours in the fridge.

Before serving, pour, in a nice way, the orange cream on top of the orange slices. You may serve it with some almond cookies.
