Oranges Russian Way

Slices of fresh oranges are made more sharp with Vodka but still smooth accompanied with this Egg Cream. it is also a perfect dessert for a late dinner, light and fresh. See how its done at laclassedecuisine.com !

Ingredients for 4 people :

  • 4 oranges
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp (60 g) caster sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream
  • 1 Tbsp Vodka

Peel the oranges on edge, so as to also remove the inner white skin. Cut into thin slices, place in 4 dessert shells or plates and sprinkle with brown sugar and Vodka.

Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until it becomes a foaming cream, then add the cream, whipped gently. You then will store it for two hours in the fridge.

Before serving, pour, in a nice way, the orange cream on top of the orange slices. You may serve it with some almond cookies.
