Walnut Tart or Tartelettes

Ingredients for 6 people:

  •  125 g (1/2 cup) walnuts
  • 100 g (1/3 cup) whipping cream
  • 80g (4 Tbsp) sugar
  • 2 eggs

For the dough:

  • 300 g (1 ¼ cup) flour
  • 200 g (2 stick)Butter
  • 80g (4 Tbsp) icing sugar
  • 1 egg

Preheat oven to 180 ° C (375°F).

For making the dough, put the flour, butter cut into pieces and stored at room temperature, icing sugar in the bowl of a food processor and blend until the mixture is sandy. Add beaten eggs and mix until the dough forms a ball. Refrigerate for about 1 hour .

Meanwhile, beat two eggs with the sugar, add the cream and chopped walnuts.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface and turn it into a buttered pie pan and prick the dough a few time with a fork.

Pour your walnut preparation on top and bake in a hot oven for about 30 minutes.

Remove from oven, let cool the tart or tartelettes and then unmold .

Finally, if you like a shiny glaze on your tart, you can drizzle it with liquid honey 5 minutes before the end of baking.
