Marinated Mozzarella in Cream and Lemon

This is the list of the different ingredients you will need to prepare this Marinated Mozzarella in Cream and Lemon that serves 4

  • 250 g mozzarella beads
  • 3 Tbsp double cream
  • juice and zest of 1/2 lime and 1/2 a lemon
  • 3 sprigs of thyme
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • Fleur de sel and freshly ground pepper if you like

Here are now the few steps you need to follow to make the Marinated Mozzarella in Cream and Lemon ready in a just a few minutes

First, start by mixing the mozzarella beads and cream in a hollow dish. Then finely grate the zest of half the lime on the mozzarella beads and add the juice of half the lemon. Let stand for about 1 hour to marinate, in a cool place.

In the second phase, sprinkle your dish with olive oil, salt and fresh thyme and finally, give a tour of pepper mill. Before serving, prepare nice small bowls and place a few mozzarella beads in each bowl, then, pour equally the marinade. This small dish is just a delight and very tasty, especially when savoured with a big toasted sourdough bread slice 🙂
