The Rice Pilaf is cooked in a seasoned stock. It is made in one pot so saves on the washing up, as well as being a quick and easy dish to cook for a midweek supper.

- 240 g (1 cup) basmati rice
- 360 ml ( 1 1/2 cup) water
- 1 broth cube of vegetables
- 1 shallot
- Salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp sliced almonds, cranberries, raisins or green peas.
