Quetsche Fondant

This Quetsche Fondant is a sweetness that should not be forbidden because it is light as a feather... A quick dessert to prepare at the end of summer and which will allow you to enjoy with your family or with your friends !

First here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to prepare this Quetsche Fondant with a preparation of 15 minutes
  • 375 ml or 1 2/3 cup of Crème Pâtissière (see Recipe )
  • 35 g or 2 big Tbsp flour with incorporated baking powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 egg whites
  • 800 g or 1 3/4 lb fresh Quetsches, halved
  • 2 tsp icing sugar
Now, here are the few steps you will need to follow to make the Quetsche Fondant with a cooking time of about 35 minutes Preheat your oven to 170 °C or 340°F. In a medium bowl, mix the pastry cream, flour and egg yolk. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then gently fold them into the cream mixture. Pour everything into a pie dish about 24 cm or 10 inches in diameter. Place the quetsches, skin side up, on top of the cream. Put the dish in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until the cream is firm.

Let cool. Just before serving, sprinkle with icing sugar. If you like you can accompany your Quetsche Fondant with a spoonful of ice cream.

Tip: You can replace the quetsches with apricots or peaches ! It is equally delicious
