Pan Fried Paella

Pan Fried Paella

First, here are the different ingredients you need to have to make the Pan Fried Paella that serves 4

  • 180 g ( 2/3 cup) rice
  • 2 nice a big chicken breast fillet
  • 150 g (4 oz) Shrimp
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) Chorizo sausage
  • 12 scallops
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 100 g (3 oz) green peas, frozen
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) french green bean, pre-cooked
  • 1 garlic
  • 2  pinches of Safran
  • 60 cl (1/4 cup) olive oil + some vegetable stock if necessary

Now, here are the different steps you will need to follow to make the Pan Fried Paella

Cook rice according to directions, drain and set aside. Slice the chicken, cut the chorizo sausage into slices and wash and cut the pepper into strips. Finally, peel and chop the onion and garlic.

In a large hot skillet, pan fry your chicken for about 5 minutes in olive oil. In another pan, fry the shrimps for 2 minutes and reserve. Sauté the scallops 1 minutes on each side and set aside.

Finally, sauté onion and garlic with the remaining olive oil and as soon as they are golden add the vegetables and cook for 2 minutes in the pan. Add chicken, shrimp, chorizo, rice, saffron, stir and simmer for 5 minutes to 7 minutes, stirring. Add scallops and as soon as its very hot, serve immediately.
